Dr. Karim Amrane is Senior Vice President of Regulatory and International Policy at the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). He manages the industry’s cooperative research program and is responsible for the development and implementation of AHRI’s regulatory and international policy. Dr. Amrane is also an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland where he teaches graduate courses in mechanical engineering. Dr. Amrane has over 25 years of experience in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR), and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
