Master degree in physics from Delft Technical University. Worked at The Netherlands organization for applied scientific research (TNO) from 1990 – 2009, lastly as head of the department of Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technology. Currently owner of Saint Trofee – refrigeration research and innovation. Honorary member of the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) and President of the sub-commission on refrigerated display cabinets. Operating Agent for IEA – HPT Annex 44 “Performance indicators for energy efficient supermarket buildings”. Loves to dance and likes to solve problems by means of a pragmatic approach.
